Duck Down =(

Okay, so after over a year of coughing on and off, the horde of bacteria has multiplied by 90X and have gained sufficient bacpower to take this poor duck down. of course, the stress and haze didn't help much.

I finally made my way to a pharmacy.. although i went in with the purpose of purchasing only a packet of strepsils.. the only medication besides panadol that i planned to take for my fever, blocked nose, chesty coughing, phlegm and sore throat.. Anyway i came out with proper medication due to their excellent customer service. Like getting free check up at the doctor's. Har har.

I actually said NOTHX to my sis-in-law's offer of McD's ice cream yesterday!! And i got a cup of hot chocolate instead!! Praise me!! ok fine it's still chocolate but at least it's HOT. right..?

And.. and!! I declined my bro's offer of heaty oily bad-for-me fries!! Ooooo don't i deserve to be praised? =P

okla let's see how long i can keep this up for. right now there's a bar of lemon cheesecake kitkat winking at me from an arm stretch away...

Liz's 22 on 22nd

Fine. So I haven't blogged for 3 weeks.
---------------------=-------------------------

We've known each other for 15 years now, tho I have only vague recollections of many of the earlier years. I remember we were in the same class in Standard 3, and she was so painfully shy that we all thought that she couldn't talk. I remember Tanawati, a tall, tomboyish Indian girl who liked us both *so* much and kept calling us cute, it was almost as if she had a crush on us. I remember when she spoke her first words aloud to me was when we were thrown together in the same class again in Form 2. I was extremely shocked that she could speak!! O_o

Now, it seems as if she's making up for all the time she didn't talk =.='

This year, we both had our 22nd on the 22nd. Last Sunday was Elisabeth's.

SEED Cafe 1 Utama has quite horrid food.

After Elena and Vivien tried some, they actually encouraged me to stop "forcing" myself to eat it. When I was 3/4 through, suddenly Elena pointed to something hiding below my huge plate and exclaimed.. HEY there's some parmesan cheese to go with it! -.-" It tasted more edible after that, but STILL. Parmesan cheese should be used to enhance the flavour, not create it.

Conversation topic for dinner on that night revolved around the question "Liz, are you really 22??" Because through it all, my little barbie doll was dropping knives, sipping on drink stirrers instead of straws... ok, all these were supposed to stay within the dinner table =P Biasalah, birthday girl kena kutuk. Right, Liz?

Liz......?

Nyeheheh.

Wonder what she was so drama about?

.

.

.

Elena snapped a bad pic of Liz looking all depressed, and Liz demanded that it be erased immediately. Did we listen? HECK NO. Instead, we passed around the pics to each other's camera by snapping it off Elena's. MUAHAH.

I even promised her I'd post it on my blog =P

Anyway, we proceeded to McDs Centrepoint after dinner and... camwhored. Then I noticed... EH? Something in the background looked freakingly familiar...

Lo and behold, my stalker rabbit and bear and their human friend Benny were there.

You guys wanna meet my hot friends just say so la =P

booboo, liz and i were actually in the same class in form 2. but when i "reunited" them on that night, they had absolutely no recollections of each other! =.="""

--=--

Yeah, we've known each other for 15 years, but Liz and I only started forming that special close bond after secondary school. It's amazing that we only see each other on an average of 5 times a year, and yet when we meet, it's as if we've always been in each other's lives. I think everyone has a friend like that, no?

As we made our way through childhood, teenage years, college days and now into early adulthood, many many things have and will continue to change. But somehow, somewhat, I know that we're always going to have each other in our lives. Well, we made a pact recently to see each other at least once a month.

That's 12 times a year.

Hahah.

We'll see how that goes, eh?

Life's corkscrew #2822

Okay, so I didn't get the financial assistance.

But I got a partial scholarship.

Which is only enough to cover another semester or so.

The Head of Dept actually called earlier today and practically asked me to choose between a partial scholarship and a higher amount of financial assistance. His phone call woke me up, so I was freaking blur...

Tell me if it's enough
Uhh.. i can try to get the rest of the amount, i guess...
But is it enough??
Urm.. may i know the reason for not getting the financial assistance?
Because i'm giving you a scholarship!
Oh... *blond moment*
But if you tell me right here right now that you totally, absolutely, definitely can't live without the financial assistance, then I'll try to move around the money from the other kids. If not, then I'll let someone else get a share of the money.
O_o
*kena pressure*
*feels bad*
Y'know what... RMXXXX is good enough.
Good for you. Now go tell everyone that you got RMXXXX and ask them to contribute for the rest.
=.=

I visited SEGi the other day and... i love it. The fees per subject is cheaper and the degree offered is something that would definitely be more challenging and thus more motivating than what I'm doing at HELP.
The campus is a freakin hotel. Chandeliers, sofas, the works. All they need to do is put a lounge singer and a penguin waiter there.

Now all I need to do is sit back and wait for my exemptions to come in, and then compare if HELP or SEGi will be cheaper... Right?

Wrong.

HELP went back on their word of 7 exemptions to a mere 4, causing me another sem and another couple thousand ringgit. My exemptions from SEGi will only come in earliest by Fri. My sem at HELP starts... tomorrow, and I have to register by Fri, which means that I can't wait for my SEGi exemptions to come in. If take one sem off to wait for my exemptions, they might pull back my scholarship. Oh, and if I take the scholarship, I can't apply for ptptn and have to thus source around for the rest of the funds like scarcity.

SESAT GILER

how la =(

btw, if anyone can share with me their personal experiences with ptptn (reliable or not, amount they gave you etc), pls talk to me. thx!

3/59 mins

The Oral Stage did a fantastic job with Rojak, and thus I looked forward to their follow-up play, fiftynineminutes with certain expectations in mind. Well, actually I was there mainly for Erin, who has been gushing about her 2-minute role for months now. aww, c'mon erin, it was At Least 3 mins =P

The short play eRin (she likes her name spelled like that.. soon we'll become wAwa, jAse, kMen, jUju.. ish..) was in was titled Best Foot Forward, and her 2.. I mean 3 minutes ROCKED!! Fine, I'm just pimping her. But since 1/3 of the crowd that night were made up of us eRin supporters, that had better been the best 3 minutes of all her 5 performances! Since I haven't gotten the photos from jOhn, I'll just pimp eRin with another nice picture of her here.

ok fine, so maybe that wasn't a very nice pic. here's a better one...

ok maybe not.

hey look, i finally found a nice one!

how coincidental that *i'm* in it as well! HAHAH

Actually all the actors were great, and it's truly inspiring to see what these young people are capable of when they are ignited purely by passion. The crowd's favourite seemed to be The World's Smelliest Durian. Johann Lim was impressive, the script was great. What's more entertaining than poking fun at our own nation, eh?

My personal favourite? The Interlude Girl! Although she wasn't actually in any of the short plays, she was the one who entertained me the most. Someone (i think it was john.. or jessen.. or maybe zaffri.. confirm male =.=) suggested that they could have developed her character into a play of her own as the finale. I totally enthusiastically agree.

In other plays like Fruitcake and TRACK, the tension in the room was so thick you could slice it with a knife and spread butter on it.. (oops.. thick = thick toast = WongKok = new purple / pink flowery renovations at ss2 outlet = huge turn off) But Anyway.. Yeah, the tension exuded by the characters is something awesome about theatre that works with small audiences such as the one performed to at the Dram Projects.

As for eRin, I confess...

She's one of the most photogenic people I know, and I have tons of great shots of her =) So any bad pics must be kept as a collector's item =P

Congrats on your debut, Ozzy. I know there are gonna be many, many more to come!
